RTL languages

How can I support RTL languages in a more elegant and reliable way?

So far I added a custom CSS to match specific attributes with selected locales but this does seem a bit hacky to me.

input[dusk$="_ar"],
textarea[dusk$="_ar"] {
    direction: rtl;
}

And also I don't see a way to match trix or markdown fields with this since they are not regular HTML inputs and I don't see any locale attributes in the wrapping DOM structure.
