The line: node:'i am another not special child node' needs a comma after it, because it is broken syntax without it. Having a working example is handy.

Thanks for quick reply! Am new to Git and GitHub, wasn't sure of procedure, as soon as I figure out how, I will, or would have done already. :) I noticed there was some code which generates the README, as well as the README proper, so the change would update both locations.
