End-User License Agreement (EULA)

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and GitHub Package Manager ("Company") for the use of GitHub Package Manager ("Software"). By installing, copying, or otherwise using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this EULA.

  1. Source Code Modification

a. Client-Side Modifications: You are permitted to modify the Software's source code for client-side purposes, such as customization or enhancement. These modifications are acceptable and do not require Company's explicit permission.

b. Private or "New" Versions: Any modifications to the Software that result in the creation of private or "new" versions, distinct from the original Software, are subject to the following conditions:

  1. Conditions for Private or "New" Versions

a. Merge Requirement: Any private or "new" versions created must merge their changes into the original Software's repository via pull requests. These changes should be available to the community, ensuring the collective improvement of the Software.

b. Adequate Credit: Users creating private or "new" versions must provide adequate credit to GitHub Package Manager and the original Software. This credit should be prominently displayed, acknowledging the use of the Software's codebase.

  1. Intellectual Property

a. GitHub Package Manager retains all intellectual property rights to the Software. This EULA does not grant any intellectual property rights to the User.

  1. Termination

a. This EULA is effective until terminated by either party. User can terminate it at any time by destroying all copies of the Software.

b. Company may terminate this EULA if the User breaches any of the terms and conditions. Upon termination, User must cease using the Software.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranty

a. The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

  1. Limitation of Liability

a. In no event shall GitHub Package Manager be liable for any damages, including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or damages for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, whether arising out of contract, tort, or otherwise.

  1. Governing Law

a. This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
