This repository is great, but how does one use install the profiles here?

It would be great if the root of the repository described this in a README.md

I'll do a readme, yes, good idea.

Brand new to Slic3r. I guessed that I'm supposed to use "Load config bundle", right? I did that, and Slic3r says "successfully loaded <#> presets", but the presets are nowhere to be found. The dropdown menus for print settings, filament, and printer just have "default". Any tips?

Tips for any noobs like me stumbling on the above: restart slic3r after loading the config bundle.

Steps, from a brand new Slic3r install:

  1. Clone or download/uncompress this repo somewhere on your computer.
  2. Start slic3r.
  3. Cancel out of the initial setup wizard.
  4. File -> load config bundle...
  5. Select the .ini file corresponding to your machine from the slic3r-profiles directory.
  6. You'll see a message, "__ presets successfully loaded".
  7. restart slic3r
  8. You'll see your presets in the dropdown menus on the right.
