Some students including me are willing to be able to contact (/ be contacted by) others associations members via the "trombinoscope" tab.

  • Finding other students is what this tab is for, contacting them seems a relevant action.

  • The idea behind it is to avoid using Facebook messenger.

Thanks @JorisPLA7 for the feedback ! Nice feature :)
I just need to think about the confidentiality concerning the students' emails

easy and clean solution

I think the easiest way to do this, is to let the user decide whether his email address should be visible or not. We define the level of visibility - and I think that "visible for members of the bde" is a good choice.

for lazy devs

If we want to make it technically easier, we could find legal ways to publish all email addresses, but honestly it's a judicial pain in the ass.

variant - less dangerous

We could make all email addresses visible only for a more restrained level (e.g. only members of utc). Less dangerous, but still a judicial pain in the ass.

for rock stars

We could let the user define levels of privacy relatively to any group: public, visible only for logged-in users, for members of the bde, for members of utc, for members of the association, for members of custom groups... etc. The best way to design this sophisticated - but nice - feature would be to think of how we manage the privacy of all user data, relatively to groups. Could be nice to think about it before we implement #344 .
