ASDF & Create Wikipedia Entry #241
Comments
ASDF is interesting. Its also got a pretty awesome name |
Very interesting -- <strikethrough>some grand unification would be great</strikethrough> but we're never going to concede! Good thing we got memmap support fully in place before meeting such an enemy :-) |
Wikipedia editors strike again! They denied my draft article since apparently the proceedings of the GNU Radio conference are an "unreliable source". Regular wiki nonsense. Maybe someone else can re-write it a bit and re-submit? I'm not sure what else to add. |
I think they the wiki gatekeepers will accept it if we can find another news article or publication discussing SigMF. |
Newest draft is still awaiting review. |
lame |
I'm at the SciPy Conference 2022 at the moment and came across ASDF, which replaces the prior format for science data on Hubble and previous. ASDF will be used for all JWST data and generally consists of a YAML header and binary data with similar goals to SigMF. I think we should be cognizant of that project since they have similar goals to our own.
Along those lines I submitted a new Wikipedia entry for SigMF that is currently in review. I used the ASDF entry as a template.
