There's a problem with imgcat not behaving too well with tmux. Apparently tmux "integration mode" or iTerm3 could be the answer.

I'm ditching tmux in favor of iTerm. Use apple script to split the view vertically and run imgcat inside that if possible. I will probably need to use split horizontally with default profile. Docs at https://www.iterm2.com/documentation-scripting.html
