Attendees

  • Ian Denhardt
  • Jacob Weisz
  • Kenton Varda
  • Luke Mackenzie
  • Dan Krol

Agenda

  • What is everyone working on?
  • Establishing short-term goals/milestones

Notes

  • Can we establish some clear short-term goals/milestones?

    • I(Jacob) set a ~6mo. goal for vagrant-spk: https://github.com/sandstorm-io/vagrant-spk/milestone/4 but Sandstorm, as a larger more complex project should have multiple milestones.
    • Not set in stone, milestones for Sandstorm should highlight achievable short-term (6-12mo.) goals backed by a list of relevant issues/action items.
    • An example might be "Improve self-hosting experience" (containing #3186 #3204 #3211). A lot of Ian's issues on the Powerbox would likely be another milestone.
    • Only Jake can update GitHub milestones, but this could be modeled in the Wekan by using cards with a checklist. (Lyre has a great example one already.)
    • Specific categories:
      • Small, high impact things for self-hosters. E.g:
        • Cert support without reverse proxy or sandcats.
        • Storage reporting.
      • Internal cleanup/codebsae modernization.
      • Removing holes in the sandbox(Ian)
  • What people are working on

    • Ian - Powerbox changes landed. Tests not passing because need update to Meteor SPK. Kenton is planning to do that soon. Time will be sparse in couple next weeks.
    • Jacob - PR to switch docs to use same font and color as main site. Review Pls. This week: Vagrant SPK stuff (<- fill in details here?). May also review submitted new Kanban board app this week, and IPython/Jupyter app review. Need to determine whether to upgrade IPython or make it a new app.
    • Kenton - Caught up with email, merged several things. Want to Update Meteor SPK, upgrade Sandstorm to Meteor 1.9, hopefully next weekend.
    • Luke - Getting familiar with app development. Getting help from Jan
    • Dan - OSM app: Got app to start. So, I guess Postgres works. I tried packaging it and putting it on my real instance and it doesn't work. Plans on adding UI for storage counts.
  • Issues to open (if not present):

    • App Market: mark apps as "deprecated" -- there's a bunch of old stuff that probably won't get updated.
  • standalonedomains feature exists, not exposed through the UI.
