The problem

If you are German (and told them so) you have to use the West European Data Center which means you need the URL to start as https://openapi-weaz.tuyaeu.com which means that self._base_url = f"https://openapi.tuya{region_code}.com" just does not work anymore. The same applies to the US East data center.

Environment

  • Localtuya version:
  • Home Assistant Core version:
  • Does the device work using the Home Assistant Tuya Cloud component ?

Steps to reproduce

  1. Follow https://xzetsubou.github.io/hass-localtuya/cloud_api/
  2. Try using the key
  3. Select "eu" as your API server region (which it obviously is not)
