For some of the output we produce, handles are used instead of DOIs. An example is the PhD Thesis of Stijn:
https://hdl.handle.net/11245.1/a3fdc6aa-7e1d-4035-b402-44c154e0dbf2
It would be great if we could support handles for importing metadata, but I'm not sure the infrastructure behind it is sufficient for that?

Another example is this paper:
https://hdl.handle.net/11245/1.381129
Which seems to be the reference paper for this software:
https://research-software-directory.org/software/xtas
Sorry, something went wrong.
I don't think there is an API available from which we can query the metadata, see e.g. the documentation here. The best we can get is https://hdl.handle.net/api/handles/11245.1/a3fdc6aa-7e1d-4035-b402-44c154e0dbf2, which doesn't have nearly enough metadata available.
More info on the DOI system and the handle system here.
