Sterilization of image names is problematic with css images

Describe the bug
I use css image spritesheets for all my wiki assets. I use spritecow and take the spritesheets directly from the developers. Meaning in my css it is AbAndWp_8x8.png while the actual image getting uploaded is named abandwp_8x8.png. While not a big deal, it could confuse volunteer wiki editors and is confusing.

You originally started sterilizing the image names because users were using spaces in their names and breaking the wiki.
