Withing the globaleaks project we are testing building documentations in many languages since our project has the goal to support users worldwide with high internationalization and localization

We are encountering issues with Arabic: https://app.readthedocs.org/projects/globaleaks-ar/builds/25941444/

Is there any user working on the same topic that could share their receipe?
We are available to continue testing till this is working.

We add here reference to our simple conf.py and the output received when building the PDF in arabic.

At the moment as a non-solution we have a spefici .readthedocs-ar.yaml to disable the PDF generation in arabic.

Are you able to build the PDF in Arabic language locally? (outside of Read the Docs)

Actually not, but i was considering that at readthedocs you could have already implemented some fixes.

Are you aware of some projects running with you with the language='ar' and able to generate the documentation as PDF?

Just a suggestion.

Withing the globaleaks project we are testing building documentations in many languages since our project has the goal to support users worldwide with high internationalization and localization

This is not possible with pdflatex, so the tex engine should be set to xelatex or, better, lualatex (babel currently supports about 300 languages in these engines).
