Alt key steals focus of the menu bar #873

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

  • When I click Alt on certain applications (Slack, Signal), the menu bar is openend.
  • If I am trying to erase a single work with Alt + Backspace, it erases a single word then the menu bar appears.

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

  • When I click Alt I do not expect the focus to go to the menu bar.
  • I expect to be able to have normal functionalty

Install Type: Bare Metal
Distro: Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
DE: Gnome
Branch: master
Commit: 4a3bfe7
