Pretix Scan Connect Device Keeps reseting #31

I moved the issue to the correct repository.
Can you tell us in a little more detail what resets means? Is it really just the welcome screen? Is there any kind of error message?
No, this is not possible on purpose to maintain security and auditability. The way to fix your problem is to figure out why the app keeps resetting. |
The PretixSCAN app simply returns to the initial camera page with the option of Manual setup. The only option is to create a new QR code. There is no error message. |
I just ran into the same issue twice. I used the app fine yesterday. Today, when I opened it up, it showed the Connect Device page, waiting for a QR code or a tap on Manual Setup. I could re-setup fine, which then showed no traces of the old registration. Note that the app did not fully reset: I went straight to the QR code setup screen. For comparison, if I uninstall and reinstall the app, it shows the Welcome screen, requiring acceptance of the personal data handling notice. This last happened on iOS 17 / iOS 17.0.1 (I updated between the successful use of pretixSCAN and the time when it had deregistered.) |
Using an iPhone and Pretix Scan the device resets the connection to the server every 10 days or so. Then there is no way to reconnect apart from creating and registering a new device.
Could we re connect an existing device and bring up the QR code again.
It would also be good to delete or hide devices that are no longer in use
