When invalidating a lap, it appears to remove the time, but the lap itself may still be counted, at least for avg lap time calculation.
In an event yesterday, there was a quad triggering laps while sitting on the launchpad. I invalidated 3 of 4 laps, but the average lap time is 1/4 of the fastest (and only) lap.

I can confirm this - for counting points i ended up with data directly from sqlite database and calculating in excel ;-)
Not good idea for sure, it's just simple mistake i guess (when invalidating - lap count is not reduced, so average is calculated from VALID+INVALIDATED laps. Will try to fix after next race...
