lack of satellite instruction

our flying group has almost finished building the main lap timer, but i am wanting to know how to set up / how the satellites work?
i.e. what method is used for the connection to the base station, and how you put it into satellite mode

We have an RPI 1 which would be great to set up as a satellite

Looking at the code, I don't think Satelite mode is fully implemeted yet (it sends satelite tracked messages to it's own webhost adress). But please correct me if i'm wrong. I would really like to put my ERLT in sat mode too.
