Automatic publication didn't work

I tried (for the first time) to automatically publish my episode after Auphonic did its job. I got the status in Podlove Publisher on violet background saying the Episode is still processing. It still said so when Auphonic was done and didn't update. I the clicked on "Save" on the Episode page (I haven't that this time before). The episode window then said my episode was still in "Draft" mode and all assets had the red cross and I had to verify them all and click on "Publish" to make the episode available. Did I miss something? Did I have to click "Save" on the page at least once before starting the production to release it automatically after Auphonic finishes?
