I see that you're preparing this repo for both P1 and P2 code (obex replacement??). Would it be interesting to merge an old propeller wiki: https://github.com/rosco-pc/propeller-wiki ??

Work in updating that one stopped as nobody seemed to be interested, but I'm willing to start working on it again (although not before mid December 2019 due to work commitments)

Keen eye you have, @rosco-pc! That's right, obex replacement.

That's a nice thought about your wiki. Yes, we'd be interested in an updated, then merged version (for even more updating). Seems that some thought needs to be put into making two sections (P1 & P2) or keeping the topics all-together with (P1 and P2 indicators) in relevant areas.

@rosco-pc, integrating the wiki in Parallax's space is only a half solution. There should be an independent community around the Propeller(s) like most other MCUs have, but we really have had enough launch failures with the wiki and other community driven stuff. 😢

½ > 0.

@drawkula - what would make it a full solution? We too want an independent community for the Propeller but we've also heard we haven't embraced it enough in the past, which seems to contradict "independent." We're looking for a happy medium that supports and encourages the community to thrive yet doesn't require too much work from Parallax to foster.

I think both sides are needed like jin and jang and currently we only have one half. Why no community driven efforts survive in the Propeller universe still is a mystery to me.

Is it just a matter of critical mass?
Are we such an endangered species?

Maybe this should be an own issue/thread?

At least 2 things I can think of: currently participating in the propeller 2 wiki is too difficult for most people as most have not worked with github before and the steps needed seem to be too complicated (they are not once you've set it up, but it is that 1st hurdle).
Also getting stuff approved depends on 1 person (PropGit only?) it seems and it can take a long time before it is approved and/or rejected.

Improving those 2 points and then relentlessly pushing to put data in the wiki instead of the forum (where it will disappear after awhile) will go a long way

Edit: wondering how you're going to solve this for the obex?
