Had problems compiling from source (newer gcc on openSUSE leap15.2), eventually gave up on it entirely and opted for a Docker solution.

This could be generally useful to others (I think). The reference repo is here:

https://github.com/victorOle/docked-simple-ide

No licensing restrictions.
