Hey folks, I'm currently working on the landing page of inlang.
Do you think this key visual is representing inlang?

First off, I am impressed by how fast you put something together!

The illustration on the right definitely goes in the right direction. Showing branches (core to inlang), showing CI/CD, the editor, and ide extension. For someone unfamiliar with inlang, we probably need to explain a bit more what is showcased in the illustration.

I sent @NilsJacobsen a Loom with my feedback earlier, but I want to discuss it again here. First of all, I can fully agree with Samuel. It is impressive what you have produced in such a short time.

Feedback Illu:
I know where you came from ( git, Branches, Commits ), But it just looks like you need to use the products together, and you can't use them separately.

The idea, from my understanding, is that each product works perfectly in the ecosystem, but you don't necessarily, and you also can use each product outside of the ecosystem. (similar to Apple)

Feedback colours:
Maybe more of a question, but what do you think of black as primary (Get started) and grey as secondary (Open editor) colours? In terms of accessibility, it's not optimal.

I am becoming increasingly comfortable with the idea of the Git line.
You can suddenly use the landing page as a one-pager and this line as the navigation.

I love the git line idea, showcasing all applications as a step-by-step "commit" on the line!

Hey folks, I think this looks awesome and I would really love to work on and test such a new navigation concept. But since we do not have a lot of time on the design, I would go for the standard text-image hero section. I think the next question is more about how to tear down @jannesblobel concerns about the linearity of the tools, but using only the space in the hero section. Maybe we can solve this by an animation. I also thought about having user images next to the different cards to show that these things are done independently by different users.

Agree. Whatever it takes, or need to be left out, to get a new landig page this week works!

I also think a super important part of the landing page is working on the wording. It needs to be on point to not confuse the devs.

Speaking of dynamism, I propose to show off the seamless workflow of Inlang right there in the landing page. The design is nearly there.

I just propose to make this live and actually change the inlang.com itself (be meta and fun).

And to make it even cooler, once the animation completes (we run it once). If you switch languages after animation completes, the text for french/german version of the website will be updated with the new change. Easter egg. 🐰

If we go this way, adding a debounce to animation would be good. So page first loads, your eyes draw to big Localization infrastructure built on git. Maybe even start reading Inlang makes localization ...

But then after say 3-4 seconds, the animation starts. The cursor shows up over this box and selects first input and starts editing:

Then animation goes to completion. You have user understand already what the tool is about by reading the headline and animation should be great enough for them to try Inlang out.

@nikitavoloboev love your idea! The goal is to push out the website this week. Doing animations and making everything interactive would likely blow the goal of delivering the site for this week [and focus on the editor next].

Thanks you all for the feedback. We did sections for the different parts of inlang all connected through the git visual now. Currently, we do wording and start implementing the page.
