poeditor support?

Hello, I prefer use poeditor.com for my translations (nice platform allow ask contributors to help with translations) and would like to be able to fetch them online (they have nice api: https://poeditor.com/docs/api#languages_list)
So that way is posibly to sync translations to work later offline or keep updates in real time online.
So what do you think?

Hi @Kvarkas,

You can sync translations with PO by writing a plugin for inlang that define how to load and save messages. Hence, yes you can use inlang and po side by side :)

Three follow up questions:

1. Do you want to write such a plugin?
2. What inlang apps do you want to use (CLI, IDE, SDK)?
3. Why do you prefer poeditor?

@ivanhofer partially ;) Caching is easyish. But how to overwrite where the messages are coming from during runtime? calling inlang.plugin.loadMessages() will fail.

Because loadMessages() will/should likely read from the local filesystem. But, on runtime the translations should be resolved differently (from a remote instance). We would need something like appSpecificApi['inlang.sdk-js'].loadMessagesDuringRuntimeFrom() or something.

Or just replace the plugin, which reads from a remote instead of the local disk. Nothing needs to change in the SDK as it is not responsible where translations are coming from.

I likely want to use the local messages within my branch, not the remote messages which likely reflect the production messages. Regardless, we'll figure something out!
