why github is counting contributions only when new repository is created ?

contribution is counted when i created a new repository but when i commit the changes it is not counted as contribution and is not reflected on activity graph.please help me out.

On your commit history, it shows your name twice on commits. For example, apple and apple committed x changes. This could potentially be due to removing an email from your account. Please make sure the emails you have used to commit before are retained on your Github account. It doesn't have to be the primary email.
