git push is stuck

git push git fetch or even git push origin main nothing works, it's simply stuck after the command with no output, no logs. I have tried with sudo as well and with GIT_TRACE as well but it doesn't show anything.

I have tried,

• Changing http.postBuffer as well to a larger number
• Changing config user email, name, username
• Added new SSH key to my account
• Checked for multiple repositories(public & private), not even able to clone, fetch, pull, push.

It's as if all the actions related to the Git which involves interacting with GitHub don't work, even ping github.com doesn't work.

If not, maybe you could check a couple of things:

• If you're behind a proxy or firewall, check if there are any rules blocking your network traffic to GitHub.
• Check your /etc/hosts file and see if any line is pointing to GitHub. If so, comment out that line.

1. Check Network Issues:

   • Verify if you're behind a proxy or firewall that may be blocking traffic to GitHub.
   • Try running ping github.com to ensure connectivity.

2. Check /etc/hosts File:

   • Open /etc/hosts and check if any lines are pointing to GitHub. If so, comment out those lines.

3. Increase Buffer Size:

   • Increase the http.postBuffer size:

     git config --global http.postBuffer 524288000
     

4. Check SSH Keys:

   • Ensure your SSH keys are correctly added to your GitHub account:

     ssh-add -l
     

5. Run Git Commands with Trace:

   • Enable tracing to get more information:

     GIT_TRACE=1 git push origin main
     

6. Use HTTPS Instead of SSH:

   • Change the remote URL to use HTTPS:

     git remote set-url origin https://github.com/username/repository.git
