Never mind, finally got around to installing djview4 (the qt@5 dependency is WAY too expensive to install over a mobile data connection). Note the following:

$ brew ls djview4
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/djview4/4.12_2/bin/djview
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/djview4/4.12_2/djview.app/Contents/ (7 files)
/opt/homebrew/Cellar/djview4/4.12_2/sbom.spdx.json

i.e. the binary installed by the djview4 formula is in fact djview.

as far as I know, djview and djview4 are two different utils.

You might be thinking of the djview cask, which install the DjView.app macOS application bundle.
