I think this is an issue with how ruby is installed. I was running into this previously when I was installing ruby-build/rbenv via apt on debian:bookworm to install ruby 2.6.10 and then trying to run homebrew. I wasn't able to get past it though, and went back to the installer from git, though also unsuccessfully 🥲 : https://github.com/orgs/Homebrew/discussions/3612#discussioncomment-6012213 |

Before I asked, it wasn't clear at all. I guess you're saying that the 2-3 people trying to help have got it working. I wouldn't call that "clear" but I guess it's a reasonable assumption. But now @W1llM0nt has made it very clear that it's doable, yay! But anyway, this is good enough for me to spend the time to try it myself, so thanks for replying 😄 |

Huh, maybe the error is just wrong, and it is not updating, because I am installing the latest version? 🤔 I just tried this to install figlet and although it also errors at the top, it seems to have worked anyway? 🤷 $ docker run -it --platform linux/arm64 jessebot/onboardme:dev

Ok, I finally got around to getting this done and making my own installation steps. I've tried to package this in a single repo with clear instructions in the README, so that it can be reused by everyone without going down any rabbit holes (at least, until it breaks and I'm too busy to update it): https://github.com/huyz/brew-for-linux-arm |
