Can't remove Ansible from brew

Whenever I query packages with brew list the package ansible is returned. I don't want Ansible on the system and as far as I can tell it is not on the system.

I do use a lot of virtual environments on this system and while I try not to it's possible at some point I ran brew install ansible while within a venv. I've tried parsing all the venv files on the system however and could not find any actual evidence that it's installed in there.

Can anyone provide some suggestions? Looking to understand why and fix.

Brew installs all it's tools in it's own virtual environments. What does brew doctor, brew config and ls -l /usr/local/opt | grep ansible say?

Do you have a recommendation on removing it from this location properly?

What's in this ansible directory?

It's empty, including any hidden files. I have perms to rm it if that is all that is required?

Yeah, in that case removing the directory should be all that's needed.
