This meeting was a bit confidential because of it was scheduled at the last minute. Was present:
🔌 Plugins
@Syl2010 was working on the logic of the GUI that will allow to compose the Redstone Puzzle. Unfortunately, nothing fancy to show you... maybe on the next sprint!
🌐 Website & Newtork
@neil3000 did some cleaning on the project organization and worked on the documentation to improve now crucial collaboration with @ZRunner who work on the Discord bot.
If, like me, you love nice docs, here is a small pic of it, enjoy!
📁 Datapack
A lof work has been made on the 5th minigame, a prophunt. As a remember, this prophunt is based on the one made by Blizzard in Overwatch, called "Mischief & Magic", which has the particularity of having the same amount of hunters than props, which is cool to avoid being prop most of the time as the roles will be randomly affected.
The minigame was a lot more complexes then expected, it required a lot of experiment to make mechanics and then fine-tuning to make them smooth and very reactive.
Among these mecanics, there is prop display obviously (using the recently added block displays) and the synchronization to the world grid, climbing system, prop switching, flashbang for props (stun the nearby hunter for 5 seconds) and random taunt, indicating the props position to nearby hunters
There is still several mechanics to implement such as the hunter's dash, the special ability (if they kill at least one prop, they will have an extra ability to run faster, reset the dash ,jump higher etc.), the double jump, and also the most 2 basic mechanics which are not that easy: the game management and the kill system (which come with the spectator system). The objective is to do all of this during the next sprint.
Apart from that, 3 new people are working on Bookshelf: theogiraudet, Aksiome and Ethanout. The lib should be released by becember 2023. For thos who doesn't know Bookshelf, it's a very complete multi-purpose library datapack focused on accessibility and which will be allowed (among others) for datapackers during the event.
