No output on Ubuntu 23.04

Hi, I installed Plover on Ubuntu 23.04 in three different ways:

apt install plover
pipx install plover-console-ui

AppImage

All three installations are successful. Plover starts, and the suggestions register correctly the words associated with the strokes.

However, there is no output of the text to the active program (geany, terminal)....

I'm using the same .cfg as on a different installation/ on different machines, where Plover works fine.

Any ideas?

Too little information it's impossible to tell anything, maybe #1050 ?

Indeed, disabling Wayland resolved the problem!

/etc/gdm3/custom.conf:  

WaylandEnable=false
