Issue

I first found this issue by using Noto Math, but it seems to apply to every font. It also seems to apply to every combining glyph that I tested but I'll only include one example here. The one I first noticed this on was the "combining overline" (U+0305).

I was trying to write 1.6 repeating, but got this with Noto Math:

So I tested it with Noto LGC:

It appears that combining characters are not compatible with numbers for some reason.

The reason is that numerals don't have anchors. They probably should.

This probably affects other languages too.
