Issue

Anchor 2 does two things simultaneously, and does both badly. And I even know how to fix it.

Four umlauts hang on anchor 2: 0315, 031A, 031B, 0358. To make 0315 hang somehow on 0074 small t, you moved the anchor really high… and 0315 still works badly with most letters!

What to do…

  1. Hang 0315 in another fashion, above letters. It’s just useless in this position.
  2. Move that anchor on 0074 to better place.
  3. Move 031B a bit down to stick it to letters’ serifs (see 031B combining horn: is it possible to improve it? #424).
  4. PROFIT.

I don't know what you mean by "anchor 2" in this context.

I marked it in reply 1. The thingy that sits very high in 0074 Latin small t.

In a nutshell: for anchors 031A, 031B, 0358 it marks letter’s top-right, and for 0315… IDK what it marks.

IDK its name in sources, and when I loaded TTF to FontForge, it appeared to be number 2.

@simoncozens “Sit on two chairs” is a Russian idiom meaning “do two things badly”.

In English we say "falls between two stools." :-)
