Currently we're storing a list of rooms in user defaults, but the SDK's MXSDKOptions.applicationGroupIdentifier property's documentation sounds like data can already be accessed from the SDK directly when set accordingly.

The App Group identifier. Specify this value if you want to share data with app extensions.
