Is it a bug?

  • I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.

I have checked if others have reported this already

  • I have checked the issue tracker to see if others have reported similar issues.

Current Behavior

On Windows laptops, when using WiFi, then lots of public WiFi networks use captive portals (e.g. Cisco Meraki). And those require some user interaction, which is not possible if internet is blocked.

Expected Behavior

It's possible to "approve sign-in" via captive portals or it's done somehow like on Android, where it's possible to log in to captive portal even when "block connections without vpn" is on.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Try to connect to internet via Cisco Meraki routers
  2. ...
