Describe the bug
When I try to type a message starting with accented letters such as á í é ä ö etc, the character appears but then almost immediately disappears.

This only happens if I type the letter using the compose key, and not when using a key that has an accent already in my layout, such as ä.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Select the message text input field
  2. Press the compose key (right ctrl in my case), then e.g. ´ (key next to backspace on my layout) or ¨ (key one down and one left from backspace), then a vowel like a
  3. Observe that the character briefly appears but then disappears

Expected behavior
The character should not disappear

I've verified that this is an issue with Telegram, it doesn't happen in any other text input field in any other website. It also doesn't happen with the search box in the top left corner of the Telegram web client.
