Currently throws a 401 unauthorised when accessing the file directly via a browser. http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/developing-in-modx/other-development-resources/loading-modx-externally

I had the same issue and Mark told me to append ?ctx=web to run.php. Now it's using the right context and everything is working fine. Thanks Mark!

I've added a note about this to the docs. It only happens when using the browser or an external cron job.
