Would it be possible to allow the "create" argument in loadWorkbook to have three values, "TRUE", "FALSE", and "force"?
I just ran into a gotcha where the data I was writing had changed, which led to fewer number of rows being written than earlier, and a few trailing rows from the earlier run was left in the worksheet.
Most other data writing functions in R overwrite previously existing files, so allowing for that functionality would make it easier to be consistent with the rest of the ecosystem.
