メモ用途ならば(おそらく)連続した背景領域があるだろうからPNG形式を利用することで保存領域を大幅に削減できそう

(HSPでPNG保存するの手間かかりそう)

GDI+ を利用すると API レベルでできそう(だけどこれはC++の管轄)
libpng を使うのがいいのか……?
適当な DLL を作るのも手か
