  • I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
  • I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

This is because the VirusTotal installer does not write a version into the registry. When an application doesn’t write a version to registry, WinGet cannot determine the version that is installed and will show it as Unknown. To not have the application be re-installed each time, you can use winget update --all and not use the --include-unknown switch
