It caused by metro bundler source path changes. This issue is fixed on latest updates, since the pipeline is upgrading currently, please following below 2 workarounds to get the new version of extension.

  1. vscode-react-native-1.14.0.vsix.zip

  2. Package your own .vsix file according to this.
