Network speed incorrect when using VPN #101

The network speed shown is approximately doubled when a VPN is active. The VPN is one of the connections managed by Network Manager.

Simple test:

Connect VPN.
Open Speedtest in a browser.
Run the test and compare the speed shown in the system monitor applet with the speed shown in Speedtest.
