It doesn't really make sense for us to display the WP profile link if the member's account is being managed by Memberful. We could change the log out and profile links to point at Memberful's pages.

Thoughts @dstrojny?

I was suggesting that you have an alternative sidebar login widget that includes the memberful logout and profile links in one place with native wp. I'm doing this now manually with the sidebar login plugin (mike jolley).

@BRMatt I agree with the sentiment here. We need to carefully consider it though, because it could have unintended consequences. If we do it, we should probably add a setting for turning it off. Would it be easy to override the links? I know we talked about it initially, but I seem to remember it being problematic.

@labsecrets Thanks for the feedback!

@dstrojny Good point about being able to turn it off, we could probably add some hidden flags that can be changed via wp-admin/options.php. It looks like it's fairly easy to change these URLs using filters.

I'm producing a "sneak peek" video this morning, will post it for you soon. This demonstrates the use case where a more powerful login widget, or alternative one, could be useful for Memberful (even forking Mike Jolley's). I'm currently using a very tight package of plugins to give really flexible options for building a membership site that is forwards and backwards compatible with any other membership plugins and payment gateways (such as PayPal). This was the goal all along. Having the integrated login/logout widget helps to overcome the issue that persists regardless, whereby someone who pays to access site via Memberful does "not" see any memberful data about their subscription inside the traditional "my-account" area of WooCommerce.... which could be confusing if something is not put into that place to inform them of the same. Stay tuned for my video and it will be clear.
