recOrder doesn't make its "calibration state" very visible. You can run and load calibration files and view the details in the calibration_metadata.txt files, but you can't see what's loaded from within recOrder.

OpenPolScope takes a different approach and makes the calibration very visible:

I can see benefits to both approaches, so I think it's worth discussing how to approach the calibration state.
