This issue has a corresponding Jira ticket here: https://mautic.atlassian.net/browse/WR-217. Ping us in #hacktoberfest if you need inviting to Jira. The content is written below.

You will find the wireframes for the new website at https://www.figma.com/design/OIqb9D6IT3mOP2HjqlZ230/Mautic.org-website-wireframe?node-id=71-267&t=wmMT8GYs1z5xCZuH-1 which shows the kinds of blocks (far right) and layouts we have available. There is one specifically for community, so we need to write the content and decide if this layout will work for what we want to see on the page.

This is an important page as it's the 'front door' for people who want to know what Mautic is all about. The content is super outdated and definitely needs updated screenshots, modern layout and an optimised approach to explaining the core features of Mautic. Perhaps they could link off to more extensive pages of their own, so think about how to showcase many features in a small amount of space, rather than writing long blocks of content.

If you'd like to make a mockup on Figma / Canva / Whatever to show the web team how you'd like this page to look (e.g. if you want to use images, layouts etc), please do (and share it with us in the issue comments).

Copied below from the Jira issue:

This issue relates to updating the content for Tour, which you can find at https://www.mautic.org/tour. If there are any comments from the team they will be found below.

The link for writing the updated content can be found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NvitjbDp38QbHAxeqzhQQwfgilgd7nN9obgrr2SElJk/edit?usp=drivesdk.

Thanks for your help!

Hello @RCheesley, I've completed the task you assigned to me. Here are the details:

  • What I did:
I updated the content for the "Tour" page on the Mautic website. This included writing new content, deciding on the layout, and ensuring the information was clear and concise. I also added updated screenshots and optimized the explanation of Mautic's core features to make it more engaging and informative for new users.

  • Relevant links or files:

  • Additional notes:
I've tried to keep the content concise and visually appealing, focusing on showcasing many features in a small amount of space. If there are any specific changes or additional features you'd like to include, please let me know. I'm also open to feedback on the layout and design choices made in the Canva mockup.

Thanks!

Hi @ebenezerraph thanks for working on this and for the Canva layout, that's a really great way to show the content! cc @Mike-Dropsolid FYI - I am wondering if this page perhaps needs to be a bit more focused on features, WDYT? Here's the existing page: https://www.mautic.org/tour.
