Don't have a good answer to this. This isn't about exception handling in slots btw.

If an exception occurs that isn't handled, what should be the appropriate behaviour?

For instance, having the wrong version of PySide installed will cause the program to terminate. On Windows, this is silent, because there is no console as it's a GUI application.
