I feel like I'm losing a lot of productivity debugging our bash / node setup. I just want to solve real problems and not go back and forth over mounting volumes,
npm ci
add additional dependencies that make it take 10x as long, new logic introduced does not cover all cases, etc. What do you think about creating a binary from our application? I don't want to spend a day thinking whether I want to merge with master or not so that I lose another day because my environment/setup broke again.
E.g.
Then I can just pin my development environment to a stable version....
Then we can simplify our build process with just
/usr/bin/otomi
and some deps, it would make more sense to stick to the Linux OS standard with all other applications I've come across in my developer experience so far.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
