This happens with all mainline Pokémon games (Red, Green (JP), Blue, and Yellow) and (Gold, Silver, and Crystal). This even applies to all ROM hacks, as well. The cry that Magnamite makes, is missing the "beeping" sound and this is still somehow an issue in 2024, just as it was back in 2014! In other RA cores like SameBoy, the "beeping" sound plays correctly and I'm pretty sure mGBA plays it fine, as well. It's just GameBatte that has this issue. Don't know why this is still somehow a problem, a decade later.

Interested to take a look at this as it seems to be a long-standing minor issue. What would help is knowing which of the 4 sound channels plays the beeping sound?
Could also do with knowing how to produce the sound quickly on a GB, via a test ROM or a Save State, so that I can troubleshoot. If anyone can provide the info I've requested here and above then I'll put in some time to investigate.
