Socket.IO with Express works flawlessly on IIS/HttpPlatformHandler, so I assume any issues you might hit are just bugs of Next.js.

Hi, I want to retrieve the authenticated user in IIS using Next.js. How can I do that?

If you mean you want to retrieve who is the authenticated user when your IIS site enables Windows authentication properly, then you need to set forwardWindowsAuthToken to true,

On Next.js side, you can extract the user information out of the header X-IIS-WindowsAuthToken.

thanks for the tutorial, worked pretty fine to me.
but could you help me with a problem?
I'm using nextjs 14 with AppRouter and I have an api route (app/api/my-route/route.ts) that doesnt work on iis, when my code calls that route, it returns 500 not found, but it works locally
any ideas on what is causing it?
