Hey all,

I think that the first thing to do would be to decide on an API to use to retrieve all required raw data.
This has two sub-tasks that have to be done:

  1. which APIs are available in general?
  2. which data we want to display?

I think that task 2 is a bit limited by the results of task 1 as we can't display data that we aren't able to retrieve.

A possibly third task in the process of 1 is licensing - so if we are allowed to retrieve, persist, display and possibly even "manipulate" the raw data - manipulating in sense of calculating new data from the raw one.

@zuzana-kunckova I hope this initiative is okay, if not: close/lock it. 😉

Definitely ok, thank you, @Gummibeer !

I've found a few public APIs:

There is a Covid Visualiser page, but beware, it crashed my browser multiple times (Firefox and Edge) https://www.covidvisualizer.com/. This just visualise the data, I couldn't really see how it's implemented because it crashes everything.

There is also this one: https://about-corona.net and this has a dashboard too.
