And then please also join Discord chat then navigate to the #first-steps channel.

I was confuse after join Discord chat there is no #first-step channel. Then i leave and join the discord chat 3 times to make sure, but there is no verification from bot/emote. I reach out admin, then he invite me to #first-step channel.

Do you have any idea on how to have seamless experience for the aspiring interns?

Personally, I think there are 2 approaches :

First, you can explain more and give estimate time if you are okey

For example :

Lastly, we need you to join our community in Telegram. And then please also join Discord chat then navigate to the #first-steps channel after admin add you. If you haven't been added within 24 hours, feel free to chat admin.

Second, make it as a FAQ, and don't change anything in step 0

For example :
Why there is no #first-step channel in my Discord ?

  • Wait admin to add you to the channel, if you haven't been added within 24 hours, feel free to chat admin.

What do you think about this ?

The solution of not immediately being added to first steps upon joining discord seems valid.
