In addition to support for a service principal with a client secret, we should support authentication for a service principal with a certificate (both publicly-signed and self-signed).
This may affect how Terraform authentication works, so this will require robust testing. It may not be feasible whilst Azure is in beta support, but it feels like an important step for general availability.
