Unfortunately there is no make uninstall that would remove the binary from /usr/bin/ and the configuration from /etc or wherever it was installed. The same holds for the files which were installed, if you e.g. had enabled systemd support.
Right now you have to delete these files manually to fully remove it from your system. Maybe it could be an idea to add such an option to the Makefile.
I decided that I don't want to use it anymore and running make clean didn't delete it
